The Clientele: this London collective have been around since '97 creating mellow, yet lush 60's pop inspired music with layers of strings, organ, and sliding guitar. Much of the style and sound comes from Velvet Underground, Wire, & Felt, yet they still maintain their own voice. Their 2005 release Strange Geometry has been lauded as their best outing to date, The Clientele bring their wirey, literate pop to the Abbey Pub on Wednesday, August 30. Canasta and Great Lakes open.
