The Friday 8-Track: Cure for the Hangover Blues

HangoverThe Friday 8-Track is morphing into a group activity. It will be a collection of recommended songs by the RadioFreeChicago.Org staff and will be posted in it's entirety at www.radiofreechicago.org. I will continue to post my contributions to the set here and provide a link over to the full set.

So, here's the lead-in: "Well, we could have used this 8-track last Friday to have it for our post-new year's festivities morning-afters. It's only fitting that it's a week late, the remnants of a weekend long hangover are finally fading away and we can enjoy this mix of songs for a hangover without the crappy side affects."

My contributions this week include:

No Beginning, No End - Hawksley Workman
"For those nights that never seem to end and you find yourself lying in bed next to the woman you've spent all night drinking with, searching to a find answer before she awakes, headache plagues you and that underwater feeling you just can't shake. Relish it while you can."

Still Wasted From The Party Last Night - Liam Lynch
"Sometimes there is just no denying it, it's best to accept it and try to fulfill your obligations: daily commute, work, etc. Liam Lynch knows how it feels and this song is an amusing acknowledgment"
